The Windows 7 launch

Windows 7 officially launched and I’m hearing information that the software is so expensive. Like it’d cost you $1100. So I checked Microsoft’s site to see the prices.
And here’s what I found out. A full version of the software will cost you the following:
Windows 7 Ultimate – $319.99
Windows 7 Professional – $299.99
Windows 7 Home Premium – $199.99
It actually costs less if you’ll buy the upgrade version. $90 to $100 will be slashed off the price of the full version. What’s up with all those versions? Can’t they just release 2 versions instead of three? They are really confusing consumers here. (sigh)
But honestly, I had no clue how good this software is. I have heard a lot of good feedback about this software saying that it’s far better than Vista. I could only imagine all those folks out there wanting to get their hand on this software. I just hope this doesn’t turn out to be a big failure too. I just hate how companies end up manipulating the system and fooling people around. Hopefully everything will turn out fine with this software, otherwise, I might switch to a MAC or just use XP forever.
